I’m feeling incredibly honored today after finding out that my piece The Gatherers was accepted into the 2014 Society of Illustrators Student Show. I’m so bewildered and amazed to be represented along with so many wonderfully talented student illustrators. Look at everyone’s work here!

Fox's Turnip House

A turnip house is perfect for a little fox.

Grouses and Squirrels

My two finished alphabet pieces. G is for grouse, S is for squirrel. :)

A Curious Acorn

Something I’m working on for one of my classes. The finished work will have the
letter S and the word squirrel written :)

We’re still figuring out what’s so curious about that acorn.

Gatherers

 The Mouse Family gathers food for a lovely feast!

 A turnip, poppy pods, mushrooms and a juicy red strawberry will soon 

be cooked up into a tasty dinner.

Little Mouse is responsible for the very, very important strawberry :)

Winter Sketching

Looking at my recent sketches, it's easy to see that I'm longing for springtime! I just 

can't keep from drawing veggies and mushrooms and flowers. 

Soon enough, it'll be time to garden again, and I can't wait!

Roosters

Playing around with symmetry on this very, very cold day, and 

dreaming of gardening in the summer.

Cozy Morning Turnips

This morning I cuddled under a cozy afghan and drew lots of turnips. I don’t know if I actually like how turnips taste, but I really love drawing them! I like this pattern a lot, and I’d love to refine it more and eventually have it printed on fabric.
